AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I would like to ask why does our Awareness in sadna collapse when life becomes difficult ? When we get upset, anger, insulted etc … And it becomes a turmoil for some moments. 🧘🕉️✨🌪️

It (the lapses in sadhana) happens to everybody because we are not made up of one piece. There are different parts in us, some are ready, others less willing, still others resist. It takes time, sometimes quite long, to prepare and tune these different parts and move forward step by step. Haste and impatience does not help. Depression and self-blame makes things even worse. That is why Sri Aurobindo advices us to first establish Peace and Equanimity by consciously reminding us of our true aspiration. Instead we get entangled in other issues, often small and meaningless and waste our time and energy as well as delay the journey.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
