AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Is it doing the yoga and wanting the Mother and serving Her, the ultimate aim of a person the same?

One can say that the ultimate aim is to become one with the Divine and growing one, to manifest the Divine since that is the aim of creation itself.

Serving the Divine, bhakti, meditation and other forms of Yoga are all various means to achieve this aim.

However to be genuine the aim must spring up from within. Different people are in different stages of their development hence they have different aims that though temporary are yet like steps and stages towards the ultimate aim that will disclose itself when the time comes. These temporary aims may be fulfilling the family and social duties, serving humanity, working for the country, looking after the needy, philanthropy, pursuing knowledge, developing one’s possibilities, progress, gaining wealth, power, name and fame, creative activities etc which may either help or hinder shorten or prolong our journey towards the ultimate aim depending upon the attitude with which we pursue these.

We grow through all these and gaining various experiences eventually reach the point where the Divine for the sake of the Divine becomes our sole aim and reason for our existence. But this must come from within. It cannot be forced from outside.

Affectionately,

Alok da.

That is one way of looking at it. But a slightly negative and outer way of looking at it. There are plenty of things we do which do not involve success or failure. We do it because we find a natural joy in it. This spontaneous joy …

Is drinking small quantities of alcohol really that bad? Most people I know consume alcohol in some measure. I noticed that the ones who quit it completely face backlash from Society. For example, I heard business people say that you can’t trust a person who doesn’t drink. 🥂💬🍸🎶[…]

It is not a question of good or bad from a moral point of view. But drinking alcohol is certainly harmful for the physical, as well as psychological and I would even say spiritual health. The list of physical problems is too long and generally too well known to elucidate. …

Yesterday suddenly realised during my prayer with my mother that the seat of the Psychic Being is Highar Vital, in the Hridaya Chakra. Initially, I feel Peace, Bliss and Delight up to the Vishudhi Centre. Suddenly realised that my heart has received The Mother’s Peace and is spreading to all the centre of my all the inner parts and similar to the mother light also. Suddenly feel that the heart centre is doing everything. Alok da, is our Sadhana going in the right direction? Please guide me. 🪷✨💖🕯️

Yes absolutely, the psychic being is behind the heart centre and when open and in the front then all becomes easy and natural.
Your prayer is a beautiful psychic prayer and the yoga going in the right direction.
