AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Please explain these lines of Savitri: Immortal hush before the gods are born; […]

A universal Force awaited, mute,

The veiled Transcendent’s ultimate decree.

– When the gods are born, bhaiya? 🦚

The gods come into existence once the Divine Mother impels the Supreme to create. This is beautifully described in the Rig Veda as well as Savitri. Once the Will for creation is sanctioned then the Divine Mother brings out various aspects of the Supreme as the gods, and lends something of Her Power to each of them whom we know as goddesses. These first gods and goddesses are the cosmic managers who in turn release several emanations which then become the numerous gods and goddesses.

So we may say that ontologically it is the Supreme beyond all else. Then the Paramehwara as Satchidananda and Parameshwari as Jaganmata. Then the various gods and goddesses manifest. That is why man can either come in contact with the Supreme via the gods, which is a long and tortuous way, or directly through the Divine Mother who is the link between creation and the Creator.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

This is a resurgence of excessive rajas which will sooner or later stabilise and, given the …
