AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Pranam Alokda, after years of searching for a suitable life partner for our daughter, she has recently connected with someone with whom she shares mutual respect and understanding. However, we recently learned that he has a medical condition (Protein C deficiency). 💛🙏🏻[…]

My wife feels she should look elsewhere, while I am uncertain about how best to guide her. She is mature, and as devotees of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, we have placed this before Her. How should we advise our daughter in this situation, and how can we look at this through the light of the Mother’s guidance?

Of course, it is a very personal decision. But if I were in your place, I would go by what The Lord has hinted in Savitri. That is to say, I will speak to the daughter once, explain to her the pros and cons and then let her make a conscious choice. Once she makes the final choice, I would stand by her through it and pray that may The Divine Mother’s Grace and Protection be with them. That is the best we can do.

Affectionately

Alok da
