Just as nature silently reflects a vast, unseen consciousness, can our purpose be simply to embody the Divine in daily life—through a gentle smile or simple kindness—so others are reminded of that presence? Since everything the Mother guides us toward is centered on the Supreme, does “usefulness” ultimately mean living in a way that awakens that higher aspiration in the world?
Absolutely true. There is nothing better than being an instrument of the Divine Mother, a living example of whatever we can conceive of the Divine. It is not easy, because our nature is normally driven by the ego. As a mystic poet has beautifully described that the tree the river, the earth, the wind and the fire, all the five elements give themselves freely without asking anything in return. But with man the sense of want develops beyond his basic needs. He devours creation and gives little in return except what is forcibly extracted from him by Nature herself. To learn to give consciously- a smile, a kind word, a beautiful gesture, a good deed is of much more value for one’s own good, as well as in the Divine eyes, than all the religious activities and external worship done to please God.
Affectionately,
