Sir, it has been four years, and my father’s Asthi Visarjan (Immersion of Ashes/Bones after Death) has not yet been performed. Does failing to perform this ritual create problems in life? (Specifically, do the people who performed the last rites face any issues?)🌀💫🙂🙏🏻🪷

The keeping of asthis is generally not recommended as they are supposed to attract the spirit of the person who has passed away. But four years is a long time and it is unlikely that anything of him would be lingering still in the earth’s atmosphere.

Still, it is always better to do the visarjan, perhaps in the Pondicherry sea.
