Identification is extremely rare. It means knowing something or someone inside out. It is not pity, kindness, or even sympathy. It is to become the one with whom one identifies.
Love is the swiftest way that leads us to Identification as it breaks the barriers between the self and the other. Once the identification takes place, then love changes from a seeking, striving, reaching out for union to a state of realising the ‘other’ as oneself, the joy of multiplicity, the joy of extension and inner nearness and constant inner togetherness.
