It is not just the purpose; it is the inevitable logical consummation of creation. If creation is an act of God, then it cannot fall frustrate with a half-finished, half animal human with some instincts of a god. If human beings are the last final product, if to return back to the Creator after a long, painful journey is the only possible goal, then one would naturally question the creativity of the Creator Itself. Besides, if man were fully satisfied with his life as it is, then we could perhaps assume that the work of the Creator is over and now He can perhaps rest! This too is not the case. Instead, we see human beings aspiring and struggling towards a better, higher state, even a better world. All these itself are a sign that evolution is not yet finished. And if the Divine is at the centre of things and above all things, if He is truly the omniscient and omnipotent Creator then creation cannot stop halfway with an imperfect creature called man. Since life has emerged from the Divine, it must one day inevitably grow Divine. This is the logic of the Divine Life upon earth.
Affectionately,
