Vital is the life energy in a human being. Ordinarily this energy makes one restless and by habit we associate this restlessness with wants and desires. Once we get the desire we feel temporarily satisfied but then the energy rises again and pushes us to satisfy the various wants.

What one has to do is to channelise this vital energy in proper direction. There are healthy ways to divert it such as games, sports, hobbies, art, music, studying books of wisdom or knowledge, learning something new and interesting, physical exercises etc. There are unhealthy ways of using this energy. First learn to channelise it properly. Then later it can be used for turning towards the Divine and higher spiritual purposes through aspiration and in service of the Divine.

Don’t think about yourself, fitness, hostile forces etc. Nobody is fit by oneself. It is by turning towards and opening to the Divine that one becomes fit. Right now focus on progress in different fields and go through life remembering the Mother with faith in Her. Rest will come in its own time.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
