What’s the meaning of the line ….As in a mystic and dynamic dance .. page 15 Savitri?

These beautiful lines from Savitri Book One Canto Two describe Savitri’s personality comparing her to a priestess of immaculate ecstasy who invokes God through her mystic dance. It is dynamic because it is not just a dance but an action of Truth.

In certain ancient cultures priestess’ invoked divine powers through dances. Here this image is brought in to describe Savitri whose actions were governed by the rhythms of Truth impelling her from the cavern of her heart.

It means that she acted according to the Truth of her soul. This action brought down and prepared the earth for immaculate ecstasies, that is to say the highest and purest creative Ananda.

Affectionately,

Alok da.

Even Ravana proclaimed himself to be a great, even the greatest devotee of Shiva but his thoughts and deeds were otherwise leading to perdition. A true devotee of Sri Aurobindo would know that Sri Aurobindo and The Mother were not …
