AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

When I visit some Shakti Temples, I sometimes happen to encounter many people who start shaking in front of the Deity. Some even make noise while they are shaking and some shake very intensely. What may be the cause of this? Is it real Shakti entering into the body, or is some bad powers overpowering them, or is it some mental disorder? Can you please explain the Phenomenon?πŸ›•πŸ«¨πŸ•‰οΈβ›°οΈ

These phenomenon of shaking and sometimes jumping in some temples, in the presence of certain deities, are due to the presence of and possession by the vital forces. These places are full of these distorted energies and formations, sometimes actual vital beings who love drama and create these rather abnormal phenomenon in susceptible persons. Persons with a weak and suggestible mind, where the true spiritual element is not much developed, often become prey to such forces. Sometimes individuals go to such places to ask favours of a very material nature, which may be granted because these elemental energies have a certain degree of hold over such things. But the individual gets slowly more and more under the influence of these beings, leading eventually to spiritual ruin.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da
