AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Who are the Lord of Falsehood and the Lord of Death in Hindu tradition? Are they the same as Ravana and Kumbhakarna? πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸ»πŸͺ·

The Lord of Falsehood imitates the truth he denies. Ravana, Paundraka Vasudeva, Putana, Kansa, or the original first Asura Hiranyakashipu would fit the description. Lord of Death is more difficult to find. He not only sets limits to the possibilities of life but stifles all efforts to a true life in the manifestation. Hiranyaksha, Kumbhakaran, Apsamar, Aghasura do have shades of it. However, the Mother is speaking here of the four original Asuras and not their subtle or gross instruments on the corresponding planes. The four original Asuras are the opposites and opponents of the four original Divine Principles, Sat or Truth, Chit or Consciousness, Tapas or Force, Bliss or Ananda, the Sacchidananda with the four original Godheads within it known to us as Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Krishna.Β

The four original Asuras are Falsehood, Unconsciousness or Death, Weakness who robs of all strength and, Suffering who takes away the natural joy of being and thrusts us into abysses of Depression. This seems a much more complete and logical description than any I have read till now.

Dada, there is a professor at IISC who is a sadhaka in the sampradaya of Madhvacharya, and he says that, according to him, the way to find your Swadharma is to do what you can persistently despite failure. I want to ask, is this a good way of practically knowing, or is it too reductionist? And according to you, what can be the best practical way for a young child?πŸ§’πŸ“šβœ¨πŸŒ±

That is one way of looking at it. But a slightly negative and outer way of looking at it. There are plenty of things we do which do not involve success or failure. We do it because we find a natural joy in it. This spontaneous joy …

Is drinking small quantities of alcohol really that bad? Most people I know consume alcohol in some measure. I noticed that the ones who quit it completely face backlash from Society. For example, I heard business people say that you can’t trust a person who doesn’t drink. πŸ₯‚πŸ’¬πŸΈπŸŽΆ[…]

It is not a question of good or bad from a moral point of view. But drinking alcohol is certainly harmful for the physical, as well as psychological and I would even say spiritual health. The list of physical problems is too long and generally too well known to elucidate. …

Yesterday suddenly realised during my prayer with my mother that the seat of the Psychic Being is Highar Vital, in the Hridaya Chakra. Initially, I feel Peace, Bliss and Delight up to the Vishudhi Centre. Suddenly realised that my heart has received The Mother’s Peace and is spreading to all the centre of my all the inner parts and similar to the mother light also. Suddenly feel that the heart centre is doing everything. Alok da, is our Sadhana going in the right direction? Please guide me. πŸͺ·βœ¨πŸ’–πŸ•―️

Yes absolutely, the psychic being is behind the heart centre and when open and in the front then all becomes easy and natural.Β
Your prayer is a beautiful psychic prayer and the yoga going in the right direction.
