AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Why is it that I have these phases when I feel uncomfortable or uneasy, standing in front of Lord and Mother? As if they would be disappointed in me or ashamed of me. I understand that they’re not human parents and that they don’t emote like we think. It’s just how I feel. Honestly, that’s just my constant state of mind, I always feel that everyone is disappointed in me. I think that seeps into all my relationships, whether it is with family, or friends or even the Divine. 🫣🤦‍♂️😔💔

Yes we tend to project our inner state and feelings upon others, including the Divine. It is a form of the ego that closes itself into a shell of self-depreciation because things in life didn’t turn out the way one imagined or wanted them to be. The way out is to think less and less about oneself, either in self-depreciation or in depreciation, instead to step out of oneself into the world of work and action which is the simplest and best means of forgetting oneself. My advice will be that keep yourself occupied with work, play, activity, serving people, helping someone, learning new things, developing hobbies, doing things you enjoyed doing, cooking, dancing, writing, shopping, anything that can draw you out of yourself. That is the way ahead, the immediate step forward.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

It is not Darwinism but copy-catism if one wants to coin a word. The reason however is twofold. Partly it is due to the strong awakening of Rajas in a society that was, for a rather long time oppressed, supressed and made to feel low, in one word tamas. This is a resurgence of excessive rajas which will sooner or later stabilise and, given the …
