Can you please share Basics of developing self-understanding🤔.

To develop self understanding with regard to the subject of study.

  1. First read through with a quiet concentrated mind.
  2. Read it again now with pauses to understand each passage paying attention to details.
  3. Find the links between passages to get a more comprehensive understanding.
  4. Read from different sources to understand from different angles.
  5. Form a gist of the essence in the mind.

The key is concentration and going deeper into the subject.

To understand oneself or if the subject is oneself, take at careful and sincere look at oneself, the motives of our action, the strengths and weaknesses, the pattern of thoughts and feelings and the why of one’s action.

The key is on discovering the motives of our actions.
