AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

How to know what is the truth and what is opinion in our day to day life activities? 🤔💡🌼

Truth, at least ultimate truth should by definition be ‘something’ that does not change. All that is subject to change can be at best a surface momentary phenomenon, or sensory appearance, or mental presumption and biases, or an image coloured by preferences and attachments, or simply an image constructed upon the Reality or Truth by our opinions, preferences, partial viewpoints, rational analysis of a limited data, etc. This limited truth of appearances may be useful for immediate practical purposes, but it is not the truth of things.

To know the Truth one has to quieten all these inner noises and interferences that colour our perception and understanding, and the inherent biases and angles of vision or partial seeing. When the mind and the vital become quiet or better still, silent. When the mind becomes silent and the heart grows quiet, when the vital is free of desires, then Truth emerges like the sun from the womb of Night or the full moon emerges from behind the clouds.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
