Questions on Mother, Sri Aurobindo and Savitri

Below are the lines from Savitri 🕊️from the Book of the Everlasting Day: “Of all the beauty and the marvel here, Of all Time’s intricate variety Eternity was the substance and the source; Not from a plastic mist of Matter made, They offered the suggestion of their depths And opened the great series of their powers.” pg. 672, What is this plastic mist of Matter?

It is the original Matter, possibly some kind of an ionised Matter. It is the substance of which the body of …

Sri Aurobindo writes in his book Essays Divine and Human: “Matter, Life, Mind, Supermind or Gnosis, and beyond these the quadruple power of a supreme Being-Consciousness-Force-Bliss—these are the grades of the evolutionary ascent from inconscience to the Superconscience.” (pg.249) He also writes that “The evolution of the earth nature is not finished because it has manifested only three powers out of the seven-fold scale of consciousness that is involved in manifested Nature. It has brought out from its apparent inconscience only the three powers of Mind and Life and Matter.” (pg.244) Can we infer from this that after Supermind, the luminous planes of Sat, Chit and Ananda will be evolving here on earth🧐? Of course, the question is mainly to know if I have correctly comprehended Sri Aurobindo’s vision of evolution and its fulfilment here on earth

Absolutely so. After the Supramental Manifestation and the Supramental body there will be the Manifestation of Bliss and the bliss body. Sri Krishna worked for

This question is from one of the passages of Sri Aurobindo’s Essays in Philosophy and Yoga. He writes: “…there is One Spirit which supports the stir of the Universe, not many. In the individual the One Purusha has three stages of personality; He is One, but triple, trivṛt. The Upanishads speak of two birds on one tree, of which one eats the fruit of the tree, the other, seated on a higher branch, does not eat but watches its fellow;…” (CWSA 13, pg.52) When he says ‘in the individual the One Purusha has three stages’, What does he mean by the phrase IN THE INDIVIDUAL? and are the three stages, Prakriti, Kshara and Akshara consciousness🙂?

The three stages through which the Purusha discovers and recovers himself are the physical, vital and mental Purusha with corresponding physical, vital and mental personalities.

What I feel is Mother out of love is warning her children to get serious as how to realise the seriousness of the situation and not waste our lives as I can see the sheer waste of lives and not realising that this is the final change given to us… am I right or exaggerating🫤?

I read two texts from the Mother’s writings regarding human love💗. (1) One was from CWM Vol 12 under the topic “The Four Austerities and The Four Liberations.”From “For one who has known love for the Divine, all other forms of love are obscure and too mixed with pettiness and egoism and darkness;” ….. to……”This concentration will culminate in an integral identification and will be instrumental to the supramental realisation upon earth.”

In both these the Mother is revealing to us the different stages of love. The love that is centred around the body and the vital,

Alok da, how to develop the talent and cognitive skills to deal with such multifaceted subjects like Sri Aurobindo did. I mean it kind of makes me marvel how between different volumes of works on philosophy, poetry, world history, philology, yoga etc.. his metamorphosises as if he’s a master at each one of them. He easily changes even the writing style be it in poetry and prose, the style of his revolutionary writings like bandemataram, karmayogin is quite different from the life divine, and also in poetry if we compare Ilion and Savitri etc..Is it a possible for seekers in general to have such polymath like talent or is it better to stick to one thing or is it just inborn and we can’t train ourselves🤔

Sri Aurobindo attributed the development of certain faculties especially of inspiration, intuition, flow of poetry, etc to the Yoga. As regards Yoga itself he attributed

This question is related to a series of experiences I am having. As I have turned to the Mother and Sri aurobindo, I feel very close to mother kali which is weird because before this I Have never in my life prayed to a female deity. Kali ma is showing her presence every time I think of her. How do I pray 🙏to her in a way Sri Maa would like me to?

In Sri Aurobindo’s Yoga there is no separate praying to different powers and aspects of the Divine Mother that may become prominent in their action
