AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Dada, in normal life as well as in yogic life, Fear has played a major part in me. If someone comments on me, something untoward happens; if something is going to happen, before it, there is a thought process of fear in me. 😥👥🍂[…]

If he will say this, that, I will react in such a manner; before the actual thing happens, there is a chain of thoughts, and I am mentally disturbed. How to stop and overcome. Please guide.

It is a subtle law of life that whatever you focus on tends to increase. To focus on fears, to think about fears, including ways and means to get rid of them, often ends up compounding them. The best is to ignore these thoughts by practicing inner indifference or to simply witness them without giving importance. Also, turn your mind away from others, especially what people will say or how they will judge you. Each one is on his own unique journey and there are no two destinies that follow the same curve. It is better if you focus on your true goal and try to run and compete on a track meant for someone else.

Still if and fear afflicts, offer the fear to The Mother, have faith in Her and tell yourself that “I am a child of The Mother and there is nothing to fear.”

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Also despite the challenges of life we keep striving for some kind of an ideal state, ideal love, perfect knowledge, true harmony and peace and all the rest. We seek these things in ourselves and others even though nothing…

There are plenty of such instances such as the assassination of John F Kennedy who despite his personal deficiencies, was a good divine instrument but was killed. Such instances are there in the Mahabharata as well. It naturally raises the question of Divine Omnipotence in some minds. But what we need to understand is that the Divine does not act in a vacuum. There is something called as the human will, – individual and collective. It..
