What I fail to understand is: how do you justify it when this non-intervention, or limited intervention, becomes coexistent with rare, extreme, horrific and perverse cases of suffering and evil, specifically as the kind I mentioned? I understand the Psychic remains unaffected. But the lesser parts of our nature, like the body and the mind, are God’s own making too. Why let them bear the brunt when the rarest of the rare perversions take place?
Please notice I am not asking for the divine to enter at every dark movement down here, but how about the rarest, extreme cases? Why isn’t He ALWAYS making exceptions in those cases?
Why are the worst of the worst not prevented AS AN ALWAYS OCCURRING, DEFAULT, UNFAILING DESIGN RULE? It’s not that the Universe LACKS unfailing design rules! I will tell you one, namely that Matter alone can’t write a sonnet or compose songs or play badminton. It is a SET rule.
A guarantee of saving grace when the horrors are EXTREMELY SEVERE AND UNDESERVED don’t seem to me like a SET feature of the Divine Dispensation. Why must the bad cop not brandish his weapon, as a service rule, when the law is being most brazenly violated and innocents are coming undone with pain and horror?
I am not challenging you, or any tradition; I am just asking with curiosity and some personal investment. I only want to know your interpretation.
Yes, the extreme examples are there, much worse than what you mention: the horrors of the Second World War, the wars and famine and all the rest. The Asura is real and the battle and conflict between the gods and the titans are all real. Could they have been avoided? Perhaps, but then the creation would have missed the supreme perfection which requires a near-complete freedom, including the freedom to oppose the Divine. But the human being still can choose. He has been given the freedom to choose. He can side with the Asura, deny God, or even oppose Him and thereby go through extreme stormy experiences of the kind you mention and much worse. Or man can choose the path of higher evolution and walk safe and protected even in the pit. It all ultimately boils down to that: the inner choices, of which we don’t have the data, of becoming conscious through horrifying experiences or taking the direct path and going through very different kinds of experiences. God does not choose for us, as that would be counterevolutionary. We choose, and the consequences or learning lessons continue or spill through other lives so that the soul in us wakes up, sometimes through hard experiences and learns to choose wisely.
