AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

How to explain death to my 6 year old? She also asked me what happens after death?

You can tell her that when the body and mind undergoes wear and tear through the journey of life, the soul goes to God to rest for sometime and then return in a new body and mind.

If we have lived life well then there is a constant progress and the conditions of birth are better. But if we have wasted our time and misused the faculties then we come back under more challenging and difficult circumstances.

So death is a mechanism of nature to facilitate our transition from one body to other (as the body tends to become weak and diseased with age) and to give us fresh opportunity for progress through rebirth.

Affectionately,

Alok da.

All the inner things that I am giving you all the time, all the strength, light, energy and life that are being poured into you all the time, are meant for the service of the Divine, for the sake of transforming you. If you use them for any other purpose, you are a robber and your crime is the worst possible.” ~ The Mother (CWM 13:183)

It means that all the capacities that we have, – physical, vital, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, should be offered at the Feet of the Divine for His Work and Service. Most of the time however we take these capacities to be …
