I know both Sri Aurobindo and The Mother were against surgery. They were both working on their own bodies. Even in last days Sri Aurobindo registered medicine. The Mother and Sri Aurobindo generally adviced against surgery to all their disciples. Of course there were those who went ahead with it due to fear and faith in modern medicine.ย
