AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

What is the best food for the Psychic Being outside of Pondicherry? ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

The food for the psychic being is the same whether in or outside Pondicherry. It is the Divine Name; whatever name of God with which our heart feels connected works like the superfood for the soul in us. Next are the Scriptures which, in the Integral Yoga, are the works of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, especially Savitri and Prayers and Meditations. Then there comes Meditation and concentration upon the Divine and his attributes and aspects. Finally, and the most powerful, are bhakti, or love for the Divine and works as service for the Divine. It is with regard to work and service for the Mother that the Ashram here does offer an initial advantage. But until then one can turn one’s everyday work into the Divine Service by remembering and offering all we doย  to the Divine Mother.ย

The sign of the growing psychic being will be a growth in aspiration, faith, surrender and love for the Mother along with wideness, gratitude, compassion and cheerfulness.

Affectionately,

Alok da

A few months ago, I felt my practice of Integral Yoga had become overly mental and habitualโ€”gathering concepts rather than living the sadhanaโ€”so I stepped away and followed a structured traditional discipline involving mantra-japa. ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ[…]

The sadhana once begun never really stops. Yes one encounters temporary halts, – almost everyone goes through these phases, but that is because we need to assimilate the gains of the sadhana. Often our outer nature may not even recognise. Yet one has received something but more is not coming in either because the container is small …

Dear Alok da, thank youโ€”the lines from Sri Aurobindo in your email helped immensely, and while old holds haven’t entirely left, they feel looser. I find myself happier in solitude, as outer interactions easily muddle my poise, while an intense inner longing to remain anchored to the Mother, Sri Aurobindo, and Sri Krishna continues to grow. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ[…]
