Questions on Mother, Sri Aurobindo and Savitri

I just wanted to ask you that French language is very prominent in the Ashram and school as well. The Mother herself told the disciples that they should read her works in French itself and not the translations. Could you please explain me as to why she has given so much importance to French in the Ashram?πŸ—ΌβšœοΈπŸ₯–πŸ₯

There are four main reasons for it.

Spiritually, it brings us close to a certain earthly aspect of the Mother’s personality. It is the same

I have two questions about keeping an inner contact with the Mother and the Lord. Since a while ago, I have been observing something in myself. When I am free and watching some content for entertainment, I cannot watch it for too long. I feel an inner discomfort and my heart and mind crave to go back to the Divine. I feel much better when I read something from the Mother and Sri Aurobindo or when I listen to your talks. The problem is I want to be in contact with the Mother and feel her Presence but I don’t want to be completely disengaged from life either. Is there a way to reconcile both or should I avoid such activities?πŸ§˜βœ¨πŸ•―οΈπŸ’Ž

It is a sign of spiritual conversion that many of the old things which we enjoyed earlier begin to lose interest or simply drop off

I am now reading the canto “Issue” I understand within my mind’s capacity.Β Β I have a question here.Β In the beginning of this Canto, Savitri’s thought process to cancel the fate (death ofΒ  Satyavan)Β  is described. Can you give the main idea by which she wants toΒ  cancel the fate to bring a new life to Satyavan?Β β˜€οΈπŸŒŒπŸ•ŠοΈπŸ“œ

It is mentioned in the Canto itself, for example.

‘The fixity of the cosmic sequences

She must disrupt,

Thank you very much Alok da – this is very helpful. As a westerner reading Sri Aurobindo and the Mother alone here in Canada, I don’t always understand references that are made in the writings or podcasts. I came to Sri Aurobindo through the writings of Ken Wilber and find really no need for any other writingsΒ  than the words of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. I have found your books and podcasts very helpful in trying to understand them both. Thank you once again.πŸ“œπŸ“šβœοΈβ˜€οΈ

Yes their books are complete in itself, honey combs extracted from the treasure trove of the gods.

It’s only because Sri Aurobindo’s conscious will entered into it β€” left one body and entered the other…. I was standing facing his body, you know, and I materially felt the friction as his will entered into me (his knowledge and his will)”You will accomplish my Work.” He said to this body: “You will accomplish my Work.” It’s the one thing that kept me alive…so my question is: Why couldn’t The Mother become Physically Immortal?β™ΎοΈπŸ¦…πŸ¦šπŸ”₯

Immortal in this sense means the supramental transformation.

It is difficult to say whether it was completed or not. I have spoken about it
