Questions on Mother, Sri Aurobindo and Savitri

There’s a contradiction going on inside me. Sometimes I have intense devotion for Sri Aurobindo and sometimes for The Mother. I chant the name of the one who comes to mind. The Lord says, “Open up to the Mother, surrender everything to her.” But what should I do when I feel devotion for the Lord? They are the same, but I don’t experience this, so it’s difficult to see one.β˜€οΈπŸͺ·πŸŒΈπŸ’Ž

Both are one. When you have love and devotion for Sri Aurobindo it automatically goes to the Mother and when you pray to the Mother

The more I am absorbed in the Mother and Sri Aurobindo the less comfortable with old friends as I feel very out of sync with them and so some loneliness occurs. I am not near any spiritual connection for satsang and I do have a daily commitment to my studies and aspirations. Do I remove myself from old social ways?πŸ€πŸ‘«πŸŒŸπŸŒ³

It is a very good sign, an inevitable phase as one crosses from the old to the new consciousness. Here is what The Mother wrote

In every ashram there is one specific daily sadhanaΒ  and initiation given to the devotess. Which helps in spiritual progress and healing the body through yogic sadhanas and improving concentration. In Savitri, Aswapati had to travel many subtle worlds before reaching at the summit. I just want to know whether the person doing the sadhana must have to undertake the same journey during life time as well as after the physical body is discarded. Will the psychic being have to undergo the same route after death, even if a part is already covered during life time or skip those already covered?πŸŒ…β˜€οΈπŸ”₯πŸ•ŠοΈ

The journey of Aswapati is a very special journey taken consciously by him as the pathfinder and the pathmaker for the New Creation. It is

When I read anand brahma Chapter of Synthesis of yoga then I found that I have experiencing these same thing much before. When I meditate or aspire or in the state of self giving then I find these two source where I feel peace, beauty, thril, wideness and anand. In different way such doubt in mother sri aurobindo which was very painful moment for me, ego, excessive ambition and sexuality etc. Now their impact is much less than before. When i take prayers and meditation books and randomly open the page i find “oh lord, you want i become your selfless worker than a meditative person”, “oh lord, don’t attach with your inner presence, make me a hero warrior so that i can surrender to you all parts of my being so that your complete manifestation will be possible”πŸ§˜β˜€οΈπŸͺ·πŸ“–

Your experience clearly indicate that you are quite well on the path. The lower nature is never easy to conquer in anyone. Even the strongest

Throughout in SAVITRI Sri Aurobindo has used PRONOUNS extensively. To understand him, it is very important to identify which common or proper NOUN he is referring to by the particular PRONOUN.Β  Sometimes it really becomes a a riddle to guess what NOUN he is referring to by that particular PRONOUN.πŸ”₯πŸ“œπŸͺ·πŸ•ŠοΈ

Actually you have got all of them correct by tracing back to the passage and the connecting links.

‘It’ in the passage you mention beginning

Ever since returning home, it feels as though my time is simply being wasted. I find myself entangled in various matters and feel trapped. Although the remembrance of Mother persists deep within me, I am unable to serve her directly; consequently, it pains me to see how time is slipping away, and I have no idea how long I will remain entangled in all of this. Living this kind of life as a householder is becoming increasingly difficult. Dada, how will I be able to endure in this environment for the long term?πŸ πŸ›‹οΈπŸ›€οΈ

Many times in life we are at a crossroad where we need to take some important decisions in our life, and at that point we ask The Mother to guide us. In what way the guidance comes and how can we recognize it without mistaking something as a guidance which may not be coming from The Mother? How can we know what the Divine wants for us i.e. knowing the Divine will?πŸ€”πŸ§©πŸŽ²πŸ›£οΈ

In Savitri, page 1, line 9 (β€œA fathomless zero occupied the world”), does the term β€œworld” refer to the Earth as we know it, or to the entire universe? The ideas of the first creation (involution), the second creation (the beginning of evolution), and the third creation (supramental action in evolution)β€”are these concepts related specifically to the Earth, or do they apply to the entire universe?β˜€οΈπŸͺ·πŸŒπŸŒŒ

Alok da in The Mother with Letters on The Mother, under the chapter: Opening and Surrender to the Mother, and the sub paragraph: Real and Complete Surrender: Sri Aurobindo while speaking of progress in Sadhna through sincere, real and complete submission and surrender says, β€œIt cannot be as long as you cherish vital attachment to family, child or anything or anybody else. If you are to do this Yoga, you must have only one desire and aspiration to receive the spiritual Truth and manifest it in all your thoughts, feelings, actions and nature. Isn’t it quite an impossible condition to begin with? πŸ€²πŸŒΈπŸ™‡πŸ•ŠοΈ

Giving up vital attachment is not such a big thing as we believe. All who seek for a higher ideal do that, let alone spiritual

Since my childhood through my Father I have been connected to Mother. I come to Pondicherry for Mother’s birthday for darshan day. Like you said I feel as if I am with Sri Aurobindo and The Mother very closely. After reading so many of Sri Aurobindo and Mother’s book and putting into practice I still want more. Please elaborate whether we can feel the opening up or how and what is it one does in life to widen the opening?πŸͺ·πŸŒŒπŸŒ§οΈπŸŒΉ

I was studying the Gita in the light of Sri Aurobindo, where he mentions that as per Sri Krishna first you have to realize the Self and continue to work in a Yogic spirit and then surrender to me with love. I am bit confused here that whether one should focus on realizing the Self and then move towards Sri Krishna as we see in the life of Sri Aurobindo that he first realized Nirvana which was followed by Vasudevam sarvam iti? Or to start with surrender to Sri Krishna from the very beginning itself even prior to Self realization? The second alternative looks to me more appropriate than the earlier one, but just want to have your thoughts about my thought process?πŸͺˆπŸͺΆπŸŒ…πŸ“–

Sri Krishna and Sri Aurobindo both confirm that by surrendering to the Divine one will surely realise the Self as well as the Divine Personality
